| Introduction | When I was in Grade 1, I had an amazing teacher who I always said I wanted to be like. As I currently teach Grade 1, I constantly aspire to be just like her and to show kids how much fun and how valuable learning is. I am constantly working with my amazing colleagues to discover and develop new tasks, games, and activities for our students to help them develop the love for learning that I always had. When I am not teaching, I am constantly learning myself....not in a classroom, but in a kitchen! I have always loved baking, ever since receiving my very first Easy Bake Oven, but cooking was always another story. I have lived on my own for 4 years and in that time I have learned a lot. Being an extremely picky eater, I love to cook/bake for other people since they appreciate the flavors of foods way more than I do. This past year I have really come to enjoy trying new recipes and my co-workers and boyfriend seemed to enjoy being my guinea pigs. It was actually their suggestion to post the recipes I try (and the resources I create for my classroom) on a blog. So here I am...trying to figure this blogging thing out! |
