| Introduction | I am an Arsenal fan like everyone of you, As I am an Indian I grew up learning about cricket as the only sport in the world let alone in India. But as I grew up I came to know of other sports and still I only played and watched cricket.This was the case until Premier started broadcasting in India in 2001. The first ever glimpse of football was a highlight of a manyoo match when Beckham curled a free kick I don't know against whom. After that I started watching live matches and then I saw Arsenal play, I was so amazed by Football, the joy I felt was amazing. I thought every club play the same brand of football, so I started watching every game but how I was disappointed. From then on I started watching only Arsenal matches and the love for the club and the passion for the sport kept on growing in my heart. When I first started watching club football I was so naive I thought Arsenal is name of a country somewhere in Europe and I hoped they win the world cup. You can imagine how bad a state I was in but as I grew older and got used to the internet I learned about the history of the club and how it came into existence. |
