| Introduction | Deanna Cauthen works as a staff writer for Hometown News, a local news magazine in the metro-Atlanta area. She also does freelance writing and has written numerous articles for a local monthly news magazine as well as other magazines. For several years, she was a professional storyteller and drama teacher, and performed at a variety of venues in the metro-Atlanta area. Originally from New York City, she is the author of the “Fabulous Funky Fairytales” audio tapes/CDs which received favorable reviews by both the School Library Journal and Booklist publications. In addition to her writing, Mrs. Cauthen is a home educator and has homeschooled her four children for the past 20 years. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and children.
