Introduction During the 1960s, I participated in, and was profoundly influenced by, the struggles of various groups for diversity and inclusion in American society. Underlying all of them was my strong opposition to the War in Viet Nam. During the 1970s, I was an intern at The Washington Post just as the Watergate story broke. In the 1980s, I moved to Silicon Valley. As a contract worker, I experienced firsthand the growth of the high technology industry. In the 1990s my focus shifted to high school and university education. I then gave it up to care for my ailing parents. I became a contingent worker, providing administrative support to a series of corporate managers and attorneys. On September 11, 2001, I was a contract legal secretary at the FEMA Office of General Counsel. There I witnessed the watershed event of the destruction of the World Trade Center and the rise of Homeland Security. I subsequently briefly entered the fields of hospitality and customer service in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon my return home, I became a public administration intern in local government. My avocation is fine arts interpretation. I strive to seek justice, do mercy, and walk humbly with my God.
