| Introduction | I was born on the Island of Barbados in the West Indies but I've lived continuously in the United States since I was fifteen (15) years old. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. I'm currently pursuing my MBA at Dowling College. I'm the proud mother of three adult children and one beautiful grandson. I live in Brooklyn, New York with my gold and white one year old Mastiff Labrador-- August Chance. She's never more than a few feet away from me. We have an amazing relationship. I feed, care, groom, walk and take her to the vet and she, in exchange, she lets me know that the phone or door bell is ringing, someone has made it as far as the outside of the door but she'd not going to let them come in. She barks (and very loudly) at motor bikes, bikes, shopping carts or anything with wheels. She allows strange little children to walk up to her and just pet her, pull her ears and otherwise do what they feel like while she sits there and pretend not to notice that she's as tall as they are and is, nearing if, not an eighty-five (85) pound big muscled dog. |
