Introduction Joan Z. Greiner is a formally trained Western philosopher, especially trained in ethics, and is a former adjunct philosophy professor. She likes to write letters to the editor and in addition to being published in the Courier News she has had letters published in the New York Times and Los Angeles Times. Once an avid distance runner, she has run in the Green Mountains, the Rockies, around the nation’s capitol and as far away as British Columbia. She has hiked down the Grand Canyon. She loves the ocean, music, food, reading non-fiction and Nora Roberts romance novels and watching late night old time TV shows and movies, especially sci- fi and ghost stories and Christmas. And she loves to debate politics and religion. After living in St. Louis and Houston, TX for some 10 years, she moved to Flemington and has lived there over 20 years with her husband of over 30 years, Phil Greiner. She has 2 daughters, Bethany, a 4th grade teacher in Hillsboro and Melissa, a guidance counselor in the Abbott district of Pemberton. She has 2 yellow Lab grandpuppies, Zinc and Copper.
