If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?
That's assuming that the light from the distant stars would be bright enough to keep you awake at all hours of the day.. which is ridiculous. See, never ask an astronomy educator a random question about astronomy. ;)
