| Introduction | I play jazz/blues/R&B tenor sax and clarinet, and I'm a music educator based in La Mesa, CA. I teach sax and clarinet and intro flute at Sam Ash Music in College Grove, and I teach privately at my in-home studio in La Mesa. I teach at SDSU/OLLI, and I ran a series of saxophone clinics at Grossmont High School. For the past 20 years I've also worked as the pop music columnist for the San Diego Reader http://www.sandiegoreader.com/ I created this blog for my woodwind students, most of whom are beginning to intermediate level players. All ages, from elementary school beginners to older, mature players who want to get back to making music.
