IntroductionNearly one year ago, May 9, 2011, I began a journey that was based on a vision I had while meditating. In the vision I saw a very clear image of a pregnant tree. The image came with the repeating phrase, "I tell the world's stories because I am the beginning." Not knowing the meaning at the time, I drew the image and phrase as soon as I could. After picking up a copy of Noah Scalin's book, "Make Something 365" I knew I needed to explore this image in full. I made my commitment and got to work creating The MamaTree Project. For 365 days I would create a MamaTree, as I saw it in the vision, out of different mediums. I have made MamaTrees out of everything: computer programs, pastels, prints, carvings, clothing, sand. This has been a year of healing, growth, and the rebirth of my imagination and my soul. I have connected with others around the world because of the power and universal message of creation that the MamaTree carries. I have learned that our deep interconnection is at the core of the earth and we need to respond by remembering our roots. We have a lot to clean up as individuals and as a species. It is vital for us to do so, but we do not need to go alone.

How is an ankle unlike a consequence?

obviously an ankle can wear an anklet and a consequence cannot.
