About me

Introduction Was it getting married on April Fools’ Day or my own propensity for getting myself into improbable circumstances that has set the tone for my life? I’m not the type who treats herself to a milk bath, but only last week I managed to lavish such a luxury on my garage floor. It’s better to laugh than cry. I’ve been married to Jay for more than fifty years. We have four children and two grandchildren. Cobwebs on the Chandelier is a collection of essays inspired by my years as a household mechanic, resident psychologist, construction foreman, dispute resolution mediator . . .. In it I share with readers some of my discoveries, e.g. a bird on the wing is worth two in the cage; the time it takes to assemble a do-it-yourself project can be divined by the size of the instruction page; and there are times when having a full gas tank is a curse.
