About me

IntroductionThe reason I began this blog is due to a statement from an article read by my Aunt Helen: "You reach a certain point in your life when you are not able to DO anymore, and all you are left with are your memories and pictures; so when one has the opportunity to DO, you should." This type of statement resonates in me: LIVE life to its fullest. My mom told me of a counselor that instructed patients on "living in the present moment" and enjoying what God has given us. For example feeling, actually feeling, the water trickle between your fingers, the soap coating your slippery hand, and massage your hands dry with a hand towel feeling the rough towel brush against your delicate skin. Instead of rushing through your wash to move on to dinner. Or listen, and actually hear, the birds sing. Or stop and literally smell flowers or the freshly cut grass on your way to your car. I have always heard that journaling serves as a counseling session for the mind. Through this blog I hope I can keep my loved ones up-to-date with the recent happy moments in our life as well as allow myself to reflect on what is truly important in life, and that is love, enjoyed through quiet happy moments.
