| Introduction | I started this web log as a forum for displaying some of my latest material, commenting on the latest news and world events and hopefully giving you something to smile about during the day. If you frequent this journal you will notice a markedly Christian bent to my writing. This is intentional. I seek to juxtapose my opinions with the prevailing thinking presented by modern thinkers; not arbitrarily, but from the perspective of the Bible. Mark Twain, speaking on the nature of humanity, said "We are discreet sheep; we wait to see how the drove is going, and then go with the drove." This is true of us more often than we would like to admit. At another time he completed this train of thought by saying, “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." So let this be your rest stop in the rat race of life. After checking the national and world news and deciding what people are saying about the newsmakers, allow me to give you a daily Selah of sorts. Besides, who else can present you with such a variety of insightful, meaningless and completely weird writing? |
