Introduction Jess has been working with and mentoring youth and young adults for 13 years. While receiving her Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College in Humanities Jess developed a strong interest in disability rights and culture. Continuing her passion for greater civil rights and justice for people with disabilities, Jess received her Master of Science in Disability and Human Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In graduate school, Jess combined her passion for youth and her genuine love for disability. For the last 8 years Jess has been actively working in the disability community as an advocate, scholar, and literary activist. Her main goal in life is to raise awareness and adequately address the needs and desires of youth and young adults with disabilities.
Favorite Books Harry Potter, Autobiography of a Face, My Name is Rachel Corrie, Uglies, and Pride and Prejudice.
