Introduction | Afrolatina of Brasilian, Argentinian, Roma and Venezuelan descent on my latin side and Mozambican, Angolan, South African and Sierra Leonian on my African side. I love to travel and have traveled extensively in the US, the Caribbean, Europe, and somewhat in Africa, but not as widely as I would like to have in Latin America. I'm very concerned about issues related to justice, especially as they involve race, legal culture, and abuse of the legal process. Afro latinas generally fare poorly under "the rule of law" so much reform is needed in the US and abroad, claims that democratic protections for Afrolatinas are in place notwithstanding. Hopefully, I will be able to focus my professional attention to addressing this serious, yet neglected problem. I love tennis and baseball. Football's OK and hockey is too, but only when Mike Modano is on the ice. Basketball...well, not so much. Music keeps me sane. That's me in a nutshell. |
