| Introduction | For more info about my yarns, check out my website: WWW.FAMILYHANDSPUN.WEEBLY.COM I’m a Canadian spinner living in New York City but I’ve also done time in London, San Francisco, Montreal, and Sydney. When I set up my little yarn business in the spring of 2010, I googled about all of my ideas and possible business plans. Although I did find suppliers and price quotes and craft fair dates, what I really wanted to know was: How did others do it? What had been their experiences? The best info I came across were forums where people recalled their worst craft market experiences, simply because these pointed out possible pitfalls and practical considerations. And so a blog that I thought would be a presentation of my yarns morphed into a journal of my experiences in the hope that someone will stumble across it and be glad to know some of these things. |
