Introduction	I'm a stay at home mom of four wonderful and active children, ages 4-14. We're living on one income and don't always have the money to eat what we want, let alone eat out. My oldest had the idea that I start writing down some of the recipes I make up as I go along and this blog was born. I've been cooking for almost 20 years and have finally come to the conclusion that cooking is fun, you don't have to follow the recipe, and if it tastes good but looks weird, well, who cares? All the recipes I'm sharing with you have been first tested on my lab rats... I mean family! They are my ultimate critics as if it doesn't taste good, they won't eat it. In the case of my 4 year old, if she eats it, it must be excellent! I hope to help others learn how to make do with what they have on hand in the pantry, which will also help them save money.
