About me

Gender Female
Industry Arts
Occupation Designer
Location Virginia, United States
Introduction I am an artist, a 150+ year-old historic house owner, a designer, a teacher, an urban homesteader, a preservationist, a singer, a dancer, a kerner, a typeface enthusiast, a conversationalist, an evolving seamstress, an attempter of mindfulness, a Fairy Godmother, and an amazon. I still wish that I could be a witch, a cowgirl, and a jazz singer. And Patty Lupone in Evita. I live with three dogs, two cats, two hives of bees, and one werepanda, the latter to whom I am married. I love my sister, vintage clothing patterns, handcrafted objects, quiet, toast, reading, traditions, concept, puns, holidays, mail, tea, carrot-pecan sandwiches, cooking, rain, dogs, hot chocolate, chickens, color, photography, boots, kitchen gardens, organizing, atomic-era portrayals of space, Wonder Woman, the woods, strawberries, zazen, mushrooms, gnomes, little houses, miniature donkeys, and my (super-smart, funny, and adorable) husband. Oh, and that photo portrait of me is by the amazing photographer Heather Addley. Check out her work at http://heatheraddleyphotography.blogspot.com/.
