About me

Introduction I've always been interested in science. I've had the good fortune to attend some extremely good math and science magnet middle and high schools. I grew up in a part of the country with nearby top notch research institutions. I had the opportunity to spend summers doing research at the National Institutes of Health. The very large and the very small always pulled me, and earned a B.S. in biology with a minor in astronomy. As a newly minted graduate student studying cell biology, I can see that not everyone has the same opportunities I grew up with – but that doesn't mean you can't do science, learn about science, or put yourself on the path to study it. Science is something anyone can do, with a set of methods that can be used anywhere and more resources out there than many people realize. I'd like to help young people explore these, and help them get on the paths they are interested in.
