| Introduction | I'm a married girl, 38 years with the same fellow I started out with- I think I'm the lucky one! We have 2 adult children, a son and a daughter; my life is all about their happiness, so I guess I'm just a normal mother. I'm one of 5 sisters (sometimes 6) and I have 2 brothers that I really cannot keep track of; the sisters keep me busy enough. My stepmother is my only surviving parent, and I think the world of her; I consider her my mother. Then there are the girlfriends- more of them than I can count because I am a very fortunate person. They are all just so wonderful and I so enjoy any time I get to spend with them. I have worked in the nursing field since 1975 and until recently, I really thought nurses could retire when they got too old to work- not so sure anymore! I was raised by my grandmother, a tough, and oh so dear Irish lady who went home to God about 20 years ago. I miss her all the time, but my son says my old dog Missy is my grandmother reincarnated. My dear little Missy is a very dignified Chinese Crested, 13 years old and just as sweet as she could be in spite of the hard life she lived before we rescued her. |
