| Introduction | My name's Elaina, and I'm a rising junior at UNC-Chapel Hill. I'm double-majoring in Public Policy, with a focus on environmental policy, and Mandarin Chinese. Last summer I became hooked on traveling when I spent the summer studying the political and economic development of Southeast Asia in Singapore, followed by a month backpacking around the rest of Southeast Asia. This summer I'm off to Guatemala to do an internship in community development and microfinance with Community Enterprise Solutions, an NGO based in Antigua. After Guatemala, I'll be spending my fall semester in Xiamen, China taking intensive Chinese language courses and learning as much as possible for the five months I'm there! Welcome to my adventure! |
