| Introduction | Hello all! I started this blog as a way for me to blend my love of cooking and the soul of life. I love to create delicious dishes for my friends and family. Being able to sit down and eat, laugh, and talk…building memories…so great! I cook with love… I call it soul food. As I have gotten older I have come to know Soul Food as something a little different than the term I grew up with. Being from the south you know it as delicious buttered deep fried something lol! I have come to know it as made with love. I truly believe that when I am cooking whether for my family or someone that needs cheering up, that when you make it with love they can taste it….and it tastes delicious! “ Pura Vida” meaning pure life has always spoke to me. I have begun a spiritual journey with in myself and in doing so I have learned a lot about myself. My goal in life is to be present and enjoy as many moments as possible. I do not want to wake up really old and wish I had just enjoyed life in its small amazing moments. I hope to feed both the appetite and the soul with this little blog:) |
