About me

Location Quesnel, BC, Canada
Introduction My name is Stacey Hanrahan-Denis a mother of four children and a wife of a wonderful husband. In my personal experience, I cannot emphasize enough, the importance of additional support during labor, including support for the birth partner(s). Each labour you experience will be different. Your labor will be unique and will not be comparable to anyone else’s. If this is your first child, questions, such as; is this labor? What positions will help me? Is this pain normal? When am I supposed to initiate Breastfeeding? How do I latch my baby? A Doula can help and will be by your side for the duration of your labor and after, supporting you and your partner into parenthood. I have been certified through DONA International and just recently attended ‘Birthing from Within’ mentor and Doula training. I have started a breastfeeding drop-in group at the women’s resource centre, every second Tuesday from 7-8:30pm. Please do not hesitate to call me for a consultation to see if I’m right for you as a Doula. And to the women and their partners who have allowed me to be present during this profoundly intimate moment - I am honoured and I thank you!
