Introduction As a late blooming athlete, I didn't start to realize my potential until age 36. With a decision to lose some weight and get into better shape, taking some spin classes at a local health club was the start of an athletic passion. I started racing local uphill bike races in Vermont, NY and New Hampshire and placing in the top 10% of most of the races I entered. I started racing sprint triathlons and became hooked. After moving to Seattle in late 2008, I continued to pursue triathlon and running. A friend in Vermont encouraged me to enter an Ironman distance triathlon. I signed up for Ironman Coeur D'Alene 2010. Having never ran a marathon distance before, I ran two marathons in the fall of 2009 and qualified for the Boston Marathon in my first marathon effort. In January 2010, I started working with QT2 Systems, a Boston-based triathlon coaching company as a Mission Plan athlete. QT2's protocols prepared me for a successful finish at IMCDA with a 10:51. When I'm not on my Computrainer, running, or swimming, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and friends.
