IntroductionI like to disassemble and dissect the nature of things and strip it down to its simplest form. Then I like to devour the negative space around that object in order to understand its hierarchy and its connection. This way of thinking and living has created in me an artist, writer, musician, and philosopher. Topics I like to explore are: reality, spirituality, metaphysics, language, culture, symbols, energy, holistic healing, experimental sound, acutonics, muscle testing, acupunture, nonsense, nutrition, other dimensions, astral projection, mysticism, skateboarding, surfing, design, history, DIY, and traveling like a supertramp.

Favorite musicSo So much. I grew up listening to punk rock and then post punk experimental stuff. In the early 90's I got really into indie rock and most of the stuff coming out of Chicago and Chapel Hill. Lately while still influenced by all that stuff I am really into mostly modern and classical composers. Here is my top 14 right now: Bernard Herrmann, Igor Stravinsky, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Claude Debussy, Satie, Manuel Ponce, Mikis Theodorakis, Yuquijiro Yocoh, Yann Tierson, Ennio Morriconne, Henry Mancini, Richie Allen, Jack Nitzsche, and Astor Piazzolla. Other inspiring music I have been listening to a lot lately: Efterklang, Mum, Broadcast, Dirty Projectors, and Ken Nordine.
Favorite booksBeen on a quest to read every Huruki Murakami book. I've read every Kurt vonegut book close to 3 times, Dostoyevski, Hesse, Carlos Castaneda, Salinger, Marcel Proust, Sartre, Samuel Beckett, Aldous Huxley, Alan Lightman, St. Exupery, Margaurite Duras, Jung, some Chopra, Chuck klosterman, many other random obscure things.
