| Introduction | I believe that art should be a received blessing, to bring enjoyment and beauty into life. For me, art is an integral part of who I am, it is a personal escape, a necessary way to relax and enable me to show thankfulness. Every day I see beauty, in shadows, colours, irregularity in nature and the world around me. I like pattern, texture and form both in creation around me and also that created by man in textile, packaging and buildings. I've been on a short course entitled "creative drawing", where every week I was taken on a whirlwind journey of new discovery. I enjoy helping people to take part in art and craft, it is lovely when they realise that they can do it, a special moment for us both. Some ideas take a lot of time to plan, others come quickly - I love a challenge and my fellow artists often remark that "I'm not doing something simple!" |
