| Introduction | I’m John Hart. I’ve owned and operated the Kayak Shed in downtown Hood River, OR since 2002. Here're some of my favorite paddling and industry achievements. • Paddled the NF of the Payette yr 2 of paddling- not smart but was safely uneventful. • Helped market and design paddling gear for Patagonia (1994-99). • Paddled the Box Canyon of the Clark Fork Of the Yellowstone in 1996. • Helped purchase Lotus Designs for Patagonia. • First Descent of South Americas 4th biggest river Rio Pascua (with John Foss and friends). • Helped write the guide book for the southern Andes. Book was never printed ...long story. • Dagger Kayak sales rep (1993-1999). Perception sales rep (1992 - 1993). Who would have guessed they would be under the same roof. Then again who would have guessed Wave Sport and Dagger to be under the same roof? Proof that change is not only fun but entertaining as well! • Helped design a couple boats (some good, some bad). Also helped design some paddling clothing and gear (mostly good). I have a great wife, good dog and very odd cat. Well ...as they say ... hope to see you on the river! |
