Introduction I am a scientist who studies the evolutionary biology of fishes. Since 2006 I have been on faculty at Yale University in Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, as well as the curator of the fish collection at the Peabody Museum of Natural History. My wife Allison and I, along with our two daughters, live in New Haven in the Beaver Hills neighborhood.
Interests Ancient history of Greece and Rome, phylogenetics, Abe Lincoln, biology and diversity of fishes, baseball, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears, Tennessee Vols, Antarctica, biogeography, molecular evolution, and poker.
