Introduction	I retired from teaching a year ago, and Ernie retired from GE in January 2010. We're on a retirement once-in-a-lifetime trip, driving through the northern US, through Canada, and through Alaska. For years we've talked and dreamed of visiting Alaska ...I found in my files literature I sent for about Alaska dating back to 1996! After considering many options, we decided a camper for the back of the pickup was the best travel/living option for the kind of traveling we plan to do. We have no itinerary, no set deadlines, just a basic route. Driving only about 200-250 miles per day, we'll stop whenever we want and stay as long as we want. We'll get there when we get there and get home when we get home--anticipating about four months, more or less.
