Introduction	JimS just retired after 42 years; and Joan has been married to him for the same amount of time. Jim is a well-trained professional bureaucrat having worked those 42 years for federal (USPHS) and state (NC DAQ) for the entire time. Joan has developed some serious allergies that limit her travels and activities to a large extent, but Jim is in relatively good health. This blog is just a way to keep track of things that happen over time and to provide a way for friends who really want to keep up to follow any antics that they remember to write up and add here.
