About me

Introduction It is something we all need for basic survival. Some see it as a beautiful muse, some as a crippling vice. Whatever our view, we all know what we love. I have begun an endless quest for great food creations. From comfort foods to intricate creations, see what I am doing and how I am doing it. I welcome you to ask questions, contribute criticism, and most importantly open your minds.

Americans like the easy way out. I am an American, and I am guilty of it. I started cooking this way. Premade mixes and jarred sauces, some of which I still use because they REALLY ARE as good as you can make at home. I then began to branch out. I started creating my own dishes, then sauces. I attempted to use fresh, unprocessed ingredients wherever possible. I began to be inspired by the ingredients and not just the final product.

I will not post recipes that cater to my tastes (but maybe I will put them in a book someday). You know what you like and in what proportions. If you are unsure, taste it. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." I want to inspire you to think about what you have and what you want it to be.
