Introduction | William A. Schabas is professor of international law at Middlesex University in London. He also holds appointments at Leiden University, where he is professor of international criminal law and human rights, the National University of Ireland Galway, where he is emeritus professor of human rights and chairman of the Irish Centre for Human Rights, and the Law Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, where he has the title of honorary professor. He is a member of the Royal Irish Academy, an Officer of the Order of Canada, and recipient of several honorary degrees. |
