| Introduction | Two events brought me to blogging: the birth of my 4th baby and the realization that in just 6 months I'll turn 40! It's time to gather my thoughts of this mothering experience in a way that may someday encourage my own children when they become parents. The selfish motive is this: I can no longer deny that I've never been very disciplined about my times alone with the Lord in prayer and meditating on the Bible. I also know myself well enough now to know that I'm very extrinsically motivated. Hopefully as I blog these devotionals, I'll hold myself accountable to having them in the first place and develop a healthy and wonderful habit of learning from scripture daily! |
