Introduction	It was 2001 when a neurologist told me I had multiple sclerosis. During a trip across Guatemala with friends I lost my balance and vision. I was living a 3-martini breakfast. And couldn't get out. I made it back to California on the plane by myself. Guiding through the airport with hands on walls and poor Spanglish.
