| Introduction | Esin Aykanat Avcı was born in Ankara in 1986. She got her BA from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Letters, the Department of American Culture and Literature in 2009. After her graduation, changing the field of her education, she entered the MFA program in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, the Department of Ceramics. In January 2014, she completed her thesis entitled "The Interpretation of Natural Textures on Geometrical Ceramic Forms", some of the research of which was done in Cardiff School of Art and Design in Cardiff, UK, in the scope of Erasmus Program and got her MFA Degree. In February 2014, she entered the Ph.D. program of the same department. She is still carrying out her thesis research entitled, "Artistic Interpretations on The Interaction of Water, Soil and Clay" in University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware, USA since August 2017 as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar. |
