| Introduction | Life as a single Mum can be a shit show. It can also be amazing, and beautiful. It's chaotic and boring and hilarious and lonely as all Holy Hell. This is my life, my little nook on the internet. I started blogging about my divorce, my single parent pregnancy and my first brave steps into motherhood on my own back in 2012. Well, it's nearly a decade later, I am now a mother of three - still winging it, still flying Solo. Still wondering how the fuck I got here, and where the fuck I'm going next. I'm more forgiving of the messiness of my life than I once was, my expectations of myself have dropped a little in some places… lifted a little in others. You can find me coaching other Single Mothers over at www.ninafarr.com where I (usually) have my shit MUCH more together than this blog would imply. I'm sharing my reality here in The Bear Hunt, in all it's less than shiny (yet strangely magical anyway) glory here because I love writing. It helps me to process and think and reflect. Plus I think maybe, just maybe, it might help one of you to read about how messy and beautiful single Mum life in my house can be too. Being a single Mum sometimes sucks. I also think it's pretty awesome. |
