| Introduction | I am Rachel John,an aspiring,self taught artist. I got introduced to oil painting through a workshop that I attended while I was doing my Interior design diploma. Initially, painting was just a hobby. Over the years, this hobby developed into a deep rooted passion for art. My passion lead me to a horizon where each day I dream to be a better artist than I was yesterday. I have discovered that, being an artist is more than just indulging in the joy of creating art, but it is the harmony of creativity, passion, patience and perseverance. As an avid learner, my experimentation with paintings comes from a natural passion for learning new painting techniques as well as exploring art; a passion which gives me freedom to enjoy all categories of painting. The willingness to try out different techniques and the willpower to overcome the frustration during the process is considered to be my greatest strengths. I am always eager to brighten and sharpen my insights through constant study and observation. My home country is India and I presently lives in UAE with my husband and two children. |
