Introduction	Stephanie Downey is currently interning at Legal Aid of North Carolina, a state-wide program providing free legal services in civil matters to low-income people. She is also a board member of Right 2 Thrive, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit that provides Kenyan women access to the fundamental business education they need to run their micro enterprises, provide for their families, and develop self-sustaining communities. Stephanie is currently earning a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University with the aim of becoming a more effective board member for Right 2 Thrive. Her other education includes a B.S. in Economics and a Markets and Management Certificate from Duke University. In late August, she will begin her legal education at the University of North Carolina School of Law.
