About me

Occupation horse trainer/saddle maker
Location Choteau/Augusta, Montana
Introduction I am Sparky Wallace. I live in north central Montana right where the prairie meets the Rockies and the wind ALWAYS blows. I start colts for a living-usually 50-60 a year but I have started 100 or more in a year (I’m too old and too sore to do that many anymore). I also have a saddle shop-I’ll build 10 to 12 saddles a year, lots of chinks and armitas and even a few pairs of rodeo chaps. For the last 19 years I have guided deer hunts in Wyoming during the fall. I held a PRCA card off and on for 20 years. I rodeoed full time for 4 years and it took another 10 years to pay for it. While in the PRCA, I rode saddle broncs and bareback horses and judged some, that is, until I lost all my friends. I have a great wife of 25 years, 4 wonderful kids that are all in college, a few cows, a LOT of good horses, a loud lazy burro named Burrito, 1 good cat, 1 inbred, worthless, six-toed cat and a cute Border Collie/Pomeranian cross dog that is completely worthless other than herding around our two goats and barking at everyone.
