Introduction	I enjoy many things and joined here to explore Alien and film Special Effects in more depth. Valaquen's Strange Shapes is, for me, the very finest examination of the Alien films but I must also give a special mention to Alien Explorations for its refreshing counterpoint. These blogs are so good there's just no reason to start one myself.

Favorite Books	The Strange Last Voyage of Donald Crowhurst by Tomalin & Hall, Thomas Hardy's The Mayor of Casterbridge, Treasure Island by R.L. Stevenson, The Sun Doctor by Robert Shaw.
