Introduction On this blog, I attempt to communicate sound investing principles. My view is that many experienced investors who are comfortable analyzing business economics could improve long run results if they: 1) bought, at a plain discount, shares of businesses they understand (when time permits research/analysis), 2) avoided the hyperactive trading ethos that's so popular these days to minimize mistakes/frictional costs, & 3) sold only if core economics become impaired, prospects are misjudged, valuation gets more than somewhat elevated (i.e. large premium to intrinsic value), or opportunity costs are high. The site never provides specific individualized investing advice of any kind. Instead, it is for generalized informational use. Visitors should consult their own financial adviser before making any investing decisions.
