About me

IntroductionSomewhere does Sartre says this in his book ‘what is Literature’- that the problem is, one cannot write for the proletariat because they seldom read. And if you write to make them read, literature suffers. Quite similarly, the working masons and artisans in this side of the world won’t read this blog, it will be you and me, the kind of safe keepers of tradition, the caring kind, or the kinds who would accidently tumble onto this blog.

By the way I am a structural engineer by profession, I reside in western India. To me an artisan is not defined by a-class or the kind-of-work he does, income-he-earns or the-clothes-he-wears, but by the ingenuity he attempts through his work. I think I understand a few of them who are around me, some who I stumble upon, some I wish could accidently; so I write this blog.

I also find this blog a useful medium because a blog can directly connect to the interested audience, sometimes uninterested audience too, and a bad blog can always be ignored because blogs are generally understood to be a casual medium. But then can’t we use this casualness for our own benefit? We can sometimes express what we feel for - isn’t it?
