| Introduction | Rebekah Elizabeth was born on February 25, 1990, in Houston, TX, of Colombian-American descent. Graduating high school in 2008, she enrolled in seminary. She attended for one year until she dropped out of school and became engaged to musician and political activist James Alexander. They married in July of '09 and started the band Rebekah Elizabeth, with Rebekah Elizabeth on vocals and piano and James Alexander on guitar. They are known for their catchy melodies, light-hearted lyrics, sparse arrangements, and gutsy vocal styles. She continues her art studio, giving private instruction to over 20 students a week, in addition to working on various freelance projects, including creating custom inlay designs for Chuck Lee Banjos. On occasion she models for her husband's photography. |
