About me

Gender MALE
Location Ystalyfera, South Wales, United Kingdom
Introduction I once did a Fine Art degree at Portsmouth Polytechnic and got a 2-1. I have written a journal for 30 years. I have the odd exhibition (and stalls at art and craft fairs) and love my garden, which I also see as an artwork in continuous progress. I paint fresco on Plaster of Paris, subjects vary from landscape to wildlife and portraits. Plaster has a unique effect on the light, colour and texture of the paint used. I work mainly in watercolour and acrylic. My favourite artists are : Ben Nicholson,Winifred Nicholson, Barbera Hepworth, David Hockney,Paul Klee, Samuel Palmer, William Blake, JWM Turner, Cezanne, Tracy Emin's drawings, Grayson Perry and many many more. ( I have diverse tastes!) Prices for artwork vary according to the size and the amount of work involved in their making. Small landscapes 8"x 8" framed start at £45. All artwork is original and one off, I do not make prints because they cannot capture the texture of the fresco surface. Prices can be given on application or studio visit arranged by contacting me @
