IntroductionHow we met: Liz and Garrett met on match.com. That being said, Match.com did not predict success for this happy couple. In fact, the match.com algorithms predicted a very low probability of compatibility between Liz and Garrett. Nonetheless, Garrett’s pictures captivated Liz’s attention like no one else. Nothing says irreverent like a man who posts a picture of himself on a dating site while sporting a wine stained sweater and overgrown hair. As her eyes enthusiastically studied his page she read, “Some people might say I’m funny, but I say I’m hilarious.” Liz did not think that was funny, she thought it was hilarious. So she sent him a wink. Garrett promptly paid the ninety-dollar minimum to enter into a three-month contract with match.com for the sole reason of writing back to her. When he told her on their first date, Liz thought it was kind of sweet and romantic. But most of all, she thought it was hilarious, and it was hilarious ever after...until now.
