Introduction | I, Mikkel Stolt (b. 1965), am a Danish filmmaker and writer. I’m co-founder and (until April 2021) co-owner of the Copenhagen-based production company Fenris Film & Multimedia ApS (1993). My alter ego Mike Proud and myself starred in “My Avatar and Me” (directed by B. Milton and M. Stolt, 2011) which travelled the world at numerous festivals and TV stations. My directorial debut was the jazzumentary “The Organizers – on and off” (1995). I have also worked as a producer, and the latest outcome of that is “FAITH” (premiere March 2018 at CPH:DOX) by acclaimed Danish director Jens Loftager. I have a couple of books to my name, among others the doumentary-novel “Bacon i Bagagen” which deals with the life as a documentary filmmaker. In June 2019 Byens Forlag published my novel, "Åndssvage Ozelot", which deals somewhat humorously on topics like childlessness, cancer, depression ... and a cat. My (very) personal guide to the music of Tom Waits came out in November 2019 on Forlaget Politisk Revy. Since then a couple of my short stories and a shitload of essays and reveiws has been published, the latter at Danish internet magazine POV International, |
