| Introduction | Painting is like breathing for me. It is essential and necessary to my life. Sometimes I'm aware of it and sometimes I don't even know I'm doing it. There is a deep desire within me to create something that makes a connection to you, whoever you are. I once had someone walk into my studio (aka my kitchen) and instantly remark that a certain painting made her happy. She later called me and said, "I have to have it." That experience made me realize that once a painting is finished, it's out of my hands waiting to resonate and be defined by whoever sees it or in that particular case, needs it. I have to admit that the whole process is a mystery to me but one I relish being part of.
