| Introduction | I'm 28, Cuban-Puertorican Miami-born and I've been writing since I was 13 years old. I thank Xavier Jimenez, one of my best friends, for being the first kid like me who thought writing was a cool art form, and I thank Mrs. Hurley, my high school Creative Writing Teacher, for giving me a forum to speak and the encouragement to express myself and be a great writer. She's the reason I became an English teacher. I also thank all those who have encouraged me over the years to keep writing including my parents and my best friends. You know who you are. Thank you. |
