| Introduction | Vivienne McDermott is a professional artist, who works in printmaking, drawing, mixed media and found/recycled object sculpture. Lecturer in printmaking and drawing at Ballarat University in 2000-2010 and collaborating with arts group Ratartat on public and community arts projects has taken her to many places throughout Australia. She has planned and facilitated many of her own community projects and spent two years living in Europe (Sicily and Spain) painting, drawing, printing, collaborating and exhibiting with local artists. Vivienne is now based in the Western Kimberley region of Australia; Artist in Residence at Wulungarra Community School in 2012 -2013, currently living and working in Bardi country she conducts arts skill-sharing workshops with Aboriginal Women's groups. Vivienne exhibits annually in Australia and New York City. |
