| Introduction | Daniel Viens, (Danny), establishing author of New England NAO (NE-NAO); I am 48-years-old and grew-up in Adams, MA., I have been interested in weather since I was a teenager. When I was 14-years-old, I developed a friendship with local meteorologists, which would lead to my association with WGGB NEWS40 - Springfield as a Weather Spotter in 1993. Later, I expanded my knowledge through research and wrote "spoke" about weather related topics "when given the opportunity", while attending Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, MA. My favorite season has always been winter... which is how I came to realize the importance (concerning current weather related trends & indice forecasts) of the NORTHERN HEMISPHERE TELECONNECTION PATTERN. Originally (in 2002) I started my idea posting on (New England) NEweather - Todd Gross' Weather Spotter Network, but have recently created my own Blog dedicated to this topic.
