| Introduction | For five years, my wife, Pixie, and I lived as expatriates in Jalisco, Mexico. Our experiences in Mexico were chronicled in the blog "Maine to Mexico." Now we have relocated to Maine and plan to live here for most of the year, returning to Mexico in the winter. While in Mexico, and continuing today, I write a column, "Uncommon Common Sense" for the English language monthly, El Ojo del Lago (The Eye of the Lake). " In this column, I draw on my years of teaching critical thinking in Maine and write about my own observations and ideas. In my new blog, Mainely Common Sense, I hope to continue this dialogue and comment on our experiences in Maine and in Mexico. |
